Wormholedeath is thrilled to announce the signing of the French modern metal force, PYRAH. The band’s highly anticipated album, Veni Vidi Delevi, is set to obliterate the senses on September 20. Check out the video for ‘My Only Solace’ below.

Rockshots Records and Lay Of The Autumn are excited to announce the release of their second single, ‘Flowing Tears’ from their highly anticipated album Of Love And Sorrow due out on October 25. Lay Of The Autumn is a new Symphonic Power Metal band led by Davide Scuteri (Ravenword, Choirs Of Veritas) featuring Iryna Boyarkina (ERIA, Mysterya), Michele Olmi (Chronosfear, Embrace Of Souls), Cesare Ferrari and Davide Lovecchio. Their debut album, featuring 10 emotionally charged tracks, merges the intensity of Power Metal with the grandeur of Symphonic Metal creating a deeply evocative listening experience. ‘Flowing Tears’ is a standout piece that encapsulates the full spectrum of the band’s sound, blending sorrow with beauty in a way that is uniquely Lay Of The Autumn.

Two years since the release of their last studio album Black & Gold, the Swedish quartet Thundermother reveal the first details surrounding their upcoming new studio album titled, Dirty & Divine. It is slated for release on February 7, 2025 via AFM Records. A blistering onslaught of loud, proud and gritty hard rock, Dirty & Divine marks the start of a new era for Thundermother. This album showcases the Thundermother recording debut for both frontwoman Linnea Vikström Egg and for drummer Joan Massing. Dirty & Divine also welcomes bassist Majsan Lindberg back into the fold. Bigger, bolder and more dynamic than ever before, the Swedes return as an upgraded and remotivated force! Now the rock goddesses unleash a new music video for their latest single, the anthemic album opener: ‘So Close.’ Guitarist and founding member Filippa Nässil reveals: “‘So Close’ was so close to not being included on the album. But when we recorded it live in the studio after all the other songs were done, it turned out so well that it made it across the finish line. It seems we might have stumbled upon a hit.”

Delain have just released a new single and video, ‘Dance With The Devil,’ following last year’s Dark Waters album. The song is the title-track from an upcoming EP – due out on November 8 via Napalm – which also includes two more new songs, two ‘newly-presented favourites’ with their latest band line-up, nine live tracks and two instrumentals. “We’re thrilled to have brand new material ready to be released!” enthuses Martijn Westerholt. “In addition to the new songs, it was fantastic to have captured some magical live moments of our European tour earlier this year as live tracks for the EP. We’re definitely very excited for this release and are really looking forward to bringing the new music to the stage!” Martijn also shares of their newest single: “We’re really excited and eager to share this new Delain song with the world. It captures the recognisable and signature sound of Delain but with a fresh and modern touch.” [via Kerrang!]

ENTHEOS have released a new music video. The new music video, for the track ‘A Thousand Days,’ is taken from the American progressive death metal band’s upcoming new EP, An End To Everything, which is scheduled to be released in October this year, via Metal Blade Records. Speaking about the new single, vocalist Chaney Crabb says, “lyrically, ‘A Thousand Days’ is a song about feeling as if you‘re on the edge of life and death. In writing ‘A Thousand Days’, we wanted to focus on a more ‘mellow’ death metal vibe and simultaneously incorporate some elements of grunge and pitched screaming in the chorus.” [via Distorted Sound]

Beyond the Pale, the death/thrash metal outfit from the Netherlands with a pinch of black, and brimmed with soul-purging riffs, is unstoppable. The band just dropped a new music video, this time filled with feisty pirates for the track ‘Walk the Plank’. Following ‘The Age of the Pariah,’ ‘Storm en Drift’ and the remix for ‘Facts and Figures’ by acclaimed Japanese musician Frost (Gods of Decay; Godfrost), ‘Walk the Plank’ is the fourth single released by Beyond The Pale from their debut EP Monument in Time. ‘Walk the Plank’ depicts a narrative of rebellion and resistance against a corrupt and oppressive authority, particularly targeting women. The lyrics describe the struggles of those trapped in a system dominated by unfair and unjust individuals. ‘Walk the Plank’ is a powerful call for resistance and (female) empowerment, with individuals standing up to their oppressors. The pirates symbolize their fighting spirit and determination to reclaim control of their own destiny. [via Click Roll Boom]

After teasing the single for a little while now, Hot Milk have just shared their vulnerable, standalone new song and video, ‘Where Does The Light Get In?’. The track is the band’s first new music since last year’s A CALL TO THE VOID, with Han Mee describing it as “its own beast that came from a place of great torment and suffering. Matters of the heart are rarely touched by our band but after the last year put me into a place I never wish to return I couldn’t not write this song. It was a necessity.” “Sadness doesn’t last forever, but when it consumes you it feels like it’s there for eternity,” adds Jim Shaw. “Essentially this song is a cry out for a change in circumstances. It’s hard seeing someone close to you in pain and feeling powerless to change it. I wanted to exacerbate the vulnerability of this song so I began as stripped back as I could, me and a piano, and played what you can hear as soon as the song starts. We wanted the lyrics to come across almost like a prayer so we brought in the girls in Espera to record a choir and act as the response in the chorus.” [via Kerrang!]

Following some online teasing, Spiritbox have just shared their first new music of 2024 Entitled ‘Soft Spine,’ this genuinely crushing new track from the Canadian metalcore crew follows last year’s The Fear Of Fear EP – and is potentially a very exciting hint at their long-awaited second album… Who knows?
Memoremains releases new music. In the spring, the single ‘Toxic Girl’ opened a new era for Memoremains which continues now with a new release, the tight pop metal song ‘Stuck’. “The song, as its name suggests, is about being stuck. Society offers us a lot of expectations about how and in what order things should be done in life, but they don’t always feel like our own or essential. While others are moving forward in their lives, it may sometimes feel like they themselves are stuck. I hope the song provides peer support for those who are frustrated by the expectations of others and to act as an encouragement to make their own choices,” says Johanna Ahonen.

In This Moment releases the second new song with the title track off their forthcoming new studio album GODMODE out October 27 via BMG. “The lyrics came from feeling powerful and tribal and entrancing. The fact that Chris [Howorth] gets me so much that I can literally send him a voicemail and he sends it back to me in music form shows how in tune we are. It’s been a long time since I screamed on an entire verse for a song. I wanted to release a bunch of stuff and it felt visceral,” says vocalist Maria Brink about the title track.

MYRKUR unfolds the next chapter in her personal mythology of Amalie Bruun, setting a new course for the enigmatic composer, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. Marked by the birth of her child, and a means of making sense of the storm of emotions in that wake, her forthcoming album Spine charts a new course for Bruun through the most turbulent period of her life to new territories beyond, free from genre constraints, and giving rise to a new range of emotional and sonic contours. Spine’s lead single, ‘Like Humans’, is a blend of lush, airy textures and apprehension-inducing, pounding undertow, where Bruun’s voice floats over the top as if from another dimension. She reveals, “When I wrote ‘Like Humans’ I felt very disconnected and isolated from the human race. The lack of touch and being in the first few years of motherhood forced me to become human in a way I never thought I would. Going through all of these changes at once made me desperately want to feel a connection with the earth and humans. Writing and recording this album helped me heal and succeed with that dream.”

Prepare to be hooked by the gripping melodies and powerful symphonies of German melodic metal powerhouse, Silent Revenants, as they embark on a thrilling new chapter. The band is thrilled to announce their signing with Wormholedeath for their highly anticipated album, The Withering Of The Blue Flower, set to be released on October 13. Join the fascinating journey now with the official music video for ‘Let the Dragons Fly Forever’.

Italian symphonic metallers ELEGY OF MADNESS have released a video for ‘Broken Soul’, first single taken from the new album XI to be released on October 20 via Scarlet Records.

Italian maestros of modern melodic/symphonic metal TEMPERANCE will unleash their new concept album, Hermitage – Daruma’s Eyes Pt. 2, on October 20 via Napalm Records. During their successful European tour with Tarja (ex-Nightwish) this spring, the band introduced its new lineup and proved once and for all that this new arrangement is more than just convincing. Expanding the characteristic sound of the band with a new member – professional opera/metal singer and vocal coach Kristin Starkey – the essence of charismatic singer Michele Guaitoli (Visions of Atlantis) and mastermind singer/guitarist Marco Pastorino (Serenity) reaches a higher level. Guest musicians like Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon), Fabienne Erni (Eluveitie, Illumishade), Laura Fella (Faun) and Alessandro Conti (Twilight Force) complement the exciting journey of the new album. Now, the five-piece have finally released their new single, ‘Daruma’, together with a colorful official music video that perfectly introduces the mood and exciting story of the multifaceted album. Galloping guitar passages open the single while the album narrator and multitalented Arjen Lucassen guides through the catchy melodies. The dark timbre of singer Kristin Starkey introduces the villain Anningan, who will turn the life of the album’s protagonist Viktor upside down. Singer Kristin Starkey on ‘Daruma’: “I’m so excited for you to hear our new single called “Daruma”. It not only sets the stage for the dramatic storytelling of our new album, Hermitage: Daruma’s Eyes Pt. II, but also marks the beginning of my chapter with TEMPERANCE. I really believe our new sound will be loved by fans new and old, and I am looking forward to your feedback! See you on the road.” [via All About The Rock]

Spiritbox have announced a new six-song EP titled The Fear of Fear. In advance of its November 3 release, the Canadian metallers have unveiled the new single and video ‘Jaded.’ The Fear of Fear contains five new songs and the previously released stand-alone single ‘The Void,’ which arrived in April of this year. ‘Jaded’ finds singer Courtney LaPlante shifting between clean melodic vocals and a vicious scream.
Much-loved UK modern metal quartet Skarlett Riot return with their brand new single, ‘Chemicals’. Dealing with a subject very close to home for singer Skarlett; “‘Chemicals is about the struggles day to day with anxiety and how it can take over your whole mind if you’re not careful.” She comments, “Sometimes day-to-day life can feel overwhelming and I’ve learned to take some time out for myself and be kind to myself. It’s what we all forget to do and we all need sometimes just a moment to breathe.” Taken from the band’s upcoming NEW album (due 2024), this track led by Skarlett’s unmistakable voice combines the band’s familiar sense of melodic intent with crushingly heavy riffs and harsh vocals. As the band states: “We are excited to finally release new Skarlett Riot music into the world and we believe this is the perfect track to welcome the new campaign into the world! It’s melodic, hard-hitting, and punches you right in the chest!” [via All About the Rock]

Tribe Of Ghosts are proud to share their brand new single ‘Sunburner (Deny The Rot)’. The track is a journey of ambient synths and pop hooks that descends into an unrelenting sonic assault, with a guest appearance from vocalist Ben Mason, known for his devastating vocals in Bound in Fear and Pintglass. The lyrics of ‘Sunburner (Deny The Rot)’ were originally written in 2018 by guitarist Adam Sedgwick about his experiences before and after being diagnosed with ‘Generalised Anxiety Disorder’. A powerfully personal disclosure, the lyrics outline the daily denial of mental illness, ending with the acceptance of the disorder and the beginning of therapy and healing. Adam explains: “When my mental health began severely declining before my diagnosis, I always associated the Sun as some kind of aggressor or enemy as it would cause emotional and physical discomfort whenever I saw it… This discomfort would bring on these intense feelings of anxiety and intense physical pain that I would daily attempt to mask and ignore as I didn’t want to accept that I was mentally unwell.”

Stavanger, Norway-based symphonic gothic metal band Sirenia have filmed a music video for the track ‘Deadlight’, which can be viewed below. Speaking about the song, Sirenia mastermind Morten Veland said: “‘Deadlight’ is in many ways a typical Sirenia song, it has all those elements which is represenatble for our sound and style. I find it to be a very melodic and catchy song, and a good choice for our second single off the new album 1977. I hope you’ll enjoy it.” [via Metal Forces Mag]

Spiritbox have dropped a new one-off single titled ‘The Void’ amidst their ongoing “Eternal Blue” North American tour. Vocalist Courtney LaPlante said the song “came about very quickly,” and it and sees the Canadian band delivering one of its leanest and most succinct tracks to date. Despite the sub-four-minute runtime, all of the Spiritbox signatures are here: winding prog passages, jittery math guitar theatrics, and, of course, LaPlante’s dominant and melodic singing. “I didn’t have to fight with anything to write it, and when that happens, I don’t argue with it,” she said in a press release. “It’s a type of song that I’ve been wanting to write for a long time, I’ve heard it hundreds of times now, and it makes me so happy every time I hear it. It’s been such an amazing experience playing this song on our tour, and watching people hear it for the first time, in real time.” [via Consequence]

Frontiers Music Srl is proud to announce the signing of The Erinyes, an exciting new musical force fronted by three superb female singers. The band name is derived from Greek mythology, where the Erinyes (also known as the Furies) were a trio of chthonic deities of vengeance. The Erinyes boast the frontwomen from three exciting acts on the international metal scene. French artist Justine Daaé records goth-industrial tinged music as Elyose, Mizuho Lin is co-lead vocalist in the Brazilian symphonic/dark metal band Semblant (also signed to Frontiers), while Nicoletta Rosellini sings in the Italian groups Walk In Darkness and Kalidia. A first single and video by The Erinyes entitled ‘Drown The Flame’ is available now. Produced by Aldo Lonobile, it serves as a preview of what fans can expect from their forthcoming debut album, further details of which will be revealed shortly.

Los Angeles-based multi-cultural rock band Circle The Earth has released their new single ‘Sweetest Pain’ along with its official music video. The driving pop-rock song, co-written by Jim McGorman (Avril Lavigne, Weezer, Gwen Stefani, Goo Goo Dolls) and produced by Ethan Kaufman (Avril Lavigne, Ryan Cabrera, DOROTHY), illustrates the quintet’s diverse backgrounds and eclectic approach. Anchored by front woman Khadia’s yearning vocals and lightning-bolt rock riffs and solos from guitarist Kazuki Tokaji, ‘Sweetest Pain’ laments the emotional tumult of a romance that’s slowly disintegrating. “We’re excited to share our new single ‘Sweetest Pain’ with everyone,” exclaims Circle The Earth. “This song is about when you are living with a situation or a person that you know is not good for you, but you are too afraid to leave it. It’s the devil you know. The pain or stress is familiar and it outweighs the unknown. Coming together in a spirit of cooperation to create music, seeing our differences as strengths rather than weaknesses, and our diversity as a wonderful thing is the overall message that we hope to bring to the world with our music and this song.”

Cadaveria are premiering a brand new official video for ‘Silver Rain’, the song taken off their recently released full length Emptiness. The clip was directed, filmed and edited by Morbid Vision Italy. Cadaveria commented: “This song comes from our recently released album Emptiness and is dedicated to those who, finding themselves in adversity, have learned to dance in the rain, without waiting for the storm to end. Some scenes from the video are an explicit homage to David Lynch, who has always been our mentor in the language of cinema, and to the recently deceased Julee Cruise.” [via Metal Storm]

The increasingly-genre-defying Dreadnought have announced a followup to 2019’s Emergence, The Endless, due August 26 via Profound Lore. “The Endless is our 5th album in our Zelda temple series, the Shadow Temple,” says co-vocalist Kelly Schilling. “Exploring the everlasting struggle between human light and suffering. It is about the current of causality, the everlasting trail of events and choices of the past and present that shape our world and our lives – for better or for worse.” The album was produced by Pete de Boer (Blood Incantation, Devil Master, etc), and three songs feature synth by The Flight Of Sleipnir’s Clayton Cushman (who also plays with Kelly in Morningstar Delirium), including first single ‘Midnight Moon.’ The song starts out as sort of a prog/goth/folk/classical fusion, with Kelly and co-vocalist Lauren Vieira sharing hauntingly angelic singing duties, before things take a turn towards harsh, apocalyptic black metal. It feels like a clear evolution for Dreadnought, and one of the most unique songs that fall under the metal umbrella that I’ve heard in a minute. “With ‘Midnight Moon’ we aim to evoke feelings of intrigue and adventure, entangled with fear, betrayal, and chaos as our character finds herself swallowed by the depths of cult manipulation and escapes at an unforeseen cost,” Kelly adds.
Spiritbox have surprise-dropped a three-song EP called Rotoscope, along with a music video for its title track. While Spiritbox’s music has never settled into one sound in particular, this new release explores an industrial and ’90s-style alt-metal side of the band that sounds unlike anything they’ve released so far.
