Emma O’Rourke
Manchester based singer-songwriter Emma O’Rourke is thrilled to be releasing her latest single ‘Don’t Believe A Word’. Produced by the undeniably talented Andy Gannon, this upbeat tune is sure to resonate with Emma’s growing fanbase. Blending all the best parts of Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan, and Olivia Rodrigo, her emotive vocals and unapologetic lyricism are the foundation of this delightfully catchy song. “Jealousy is one of those feelings that we’re told is ‘wrong’ and ‘bad’, but it’s also a very human reaction to seeing an ex move on.” Emma said about the song. “It’s a lot of fun as a songwriter to just be petty for moment, and wrap all of those messy feelings into a three-minute pop song.” Growing up in a small town in Lancashire, Emma’s love for songwriting began as soon as she was able to put pen to paper, and by the time she got her first guitar at the age of 10, she was already brain-storming album ideas, before performing in her first music festival at just 12. As well as her music career, Emma is also an accomplished actor and dancer, and has performed on stages all around the UK. Listen to ‘Don’t Believe A Word’ below.

Linn Holmes
Linn Holmstedt is a blues/rock singer and songwriter, originally from Sweden. Her debut EP Introducing Linn Holmes is out now. The release is a lighthearted rock EP containing 4-songs, written by Linn and Rev. Tom Chandler. Much like the 70s icons that inspired the songs, the EP has a very organic sound to it and features the talents of Daniel Jakubovic, Derek Frank, Adam Peri, Andrew Benjamin Maldonado, Tom Chandler, Alexy Shant Yeghikian and Jenny Dang. Linn also works as a backing vocalist for a handful of productions/artists around Los Angeles – such as rock band Harry Katz and the Pistachios,, Whisky A Go Go residency celebrity All Star show Ultimate Jam Night and previous Australian x-factor contestant Julian De Vizio. EP standout ‘Baby Blue’ is a lighthearted pop song about love in a vintage daydream, reminiscent of the organic sounds of the 70s with a upbeat feel to it. Listen below.

Magindara
‘Messy’ is a fresh summer anthem from Filipina-fronted indie rock band Magindara paying homage to the flower power rock era with a bold message of empowerment and free expression. This is their love letter to all the girls who were ever told “no”. ‘Messy’ was first written and recorded in Hanoi, Vietnam in 2019. The song was a response to a fan who approached frontwoman Trixie Ward after a live show at Hanoi Rock City in amazement at her captivating stage presence and the unbridled energy of her performance. After hearing how young women in Vietnam are discouraged from expressing themselves in such a way by the conservative society in which they were raised, Trixie was inspired to write a rousing, rebellious and uplifting track about dancing to your own beat and being who you want to be. ‘Messy’ was written in a 30 minute burst of chaotic creativity and recorded DIY-style soon after in a bedroom in Hanoi before releasing on streaming platforms in September 2019. Five years later, after a traumatic near-death experience and a fresh start in the UK, ‘Messy’ has been re-written and re-recorded as the lead single from upcoming debut LP Chaos Magick. With a lyric change from “I want to get piss drunk, I want to be high” to “I want to taste freedom, I want to feel pride”, this new version reflects the dramatic personal and professional shift the band has experienced as their sound and philosophy has evolved, representing a more mature and seasoned perspective. As a thirty one year old woman emerging as an independent artist in a society that expects her to settle down and raise a family, ‘Messy’ has taken on a deeper meaning for Trixie. Yet its message of joyful defiance is as relevant and relatable now as it ever was. Listen below.

Georgia Dabbous
Georgia Dabbous is a vocalist from Melbourne Australia, who has teamed up with SP records and Priya Francis (Melbourne based songwriter) to create an RnB/Soul record, based off multiple experiences dating toxic people and experiencing emotional abuse. ‘Pills’ is a song that came from a relatively brief but emotionally taxing relationship that Georgia is still recovering from. After everything she went through, she wanted to get something good out of it, and that’s what this song is. Georgia wanted to create something people could relate to, about a situation that she knew a lot of people have found themselves in. The track begins with a real voice message Georgia had sent to one of her friends about the situation she had recently found herself in. She wanted to keep this song as real and raw as possible. This record is for people who have been chased, then discarded, people who are working on themselves to heal from relationships where they completely lose their sense of self. It’s for people who are willing to give another person the world and make them happy, knowing they wouldn’t do the same, and it’s for the people who’ve been made to feel like they’re only enough for a ‘good time’ but not worth sticking around for. Georgia Dabbous hopes this song can put that experience and that feeling into words, in a way that others can relate to and connect with, and know that they’re not any less worthy of love than anyone else.
