San Diego-based, Cleveland-raised R&B/ hip-hop artist Kajé caught our ears with her genre-bending musical style. Her new video release is a combination of two songs ‘Stress Em’ and ‘New Money’, seamlessly bound into one. ‘Stress Em’ is a mellow melodic rap tune where Kajé utilizes her feminine energy to entangle men into submission. Backed by a bouncy and soulful boom-bap beat, she lays down the law with her mellow, sexy flow and sultry lyrics that aim to seduce and hypnotize men who try to get fresh with her. ‘New Money’ is a hustler’s anthem where she employs a moody, downtempo trap beat that underpins her airy melodic runs and unapologetic lyrics about securing her bag by any means. Both tracks were produced by Rizleigh. The 2-part visuals were shot by Breakneck Visuals who help accentuate Kajé’s distinct styles accordingly. The ‘Stress Em’ record gets a DIY and straightforward approach with its laidback set-piece with the singer sporting a tomboyish look. ‘New Money’ switches it up with a sexy and expressive aesthetic that ties into her go-getter personality. Cardi B has shared the music video for her latest single ‘Hot Shit’, featuring Kanye West and Lil Durk. The video was directed by filmmaker Lado Kvataniya, marking the first time he and Cardi have worked together. It depicts the rapper atop of a skyscraper, as well as walking down the side of it, while Lil Durk performs his verse from atop a submerged car underneath a bridge. Later in the video, a masked figure dances in front of a motorcycle during West’s verse. Due to the figure never revealing their face, which is covered by either a helmet or a cloak for the entire video, it is unclear whether it is actually West himself in the clip. [via NME]
