Aisha Badru releases new single ‘Side Of The Moon’

Acclaimed Nigerian-American singer-songwriter Aisha Badru releases new single ‘Side Of The Moon’ today, another taster of her upcoming second album The Sun Still Rises, out November 29 via Nettwerk.

Aisha says that much of The Sun Still Rises is devoted to the immeasurable power of stillness and reflection. Co-written and produced with Handsome Ghost’s Eddie Byun and Tim Noyes ‘Side Of The Moon’ is a natural, hopeful jump from wellness anthem ‘Boundaries’, urging listeners to not just take time for themselves but to also make that time significant – ‘you are here/you have a purpose/your heart is hurting/but it’ll be worth it’ – the poignant chorus moved by a peaceful guitar and Aisha’s airy vocals.

Aisha Badru: “This song is about having faith that everything happens in our lives for a divine purpose. And that everything we go through is pushing us in the direction of wholeness and healing which in some way is also simultaneously contributing to the wholeness and healing of the world.”
