Cello celebrates individuality on infectious new single ‘Like A Tiger’

Brighton-based indie-pop artist Cello returns with ‘Like A Tiger’, the third single to be lifted from her forthcoming album Kung Fu Disco. Blending driving funk guitars with a pulsating disco beat, the track draws inspiration from the likes of Robyn, Marc Bolan and Madonna while continuing to showcase Cello’s distinctive approach to pop.

Quirky, playful and packed with infectious grooves, ‘Like A Tiger’ is a vibrant celebration of individuality. Glam-inspired from start to finish, the track pairs its danceable energy with a message of self-acceptance, encouraging listeners to embrace the qualities that make them stand out rather than trying to fit in. The accompanying DIY video perfectly captures the song’s colourful spirit, adding another layer of charm to an already irresistible release.

Speaking about the track, Cello says: “I wanted it to feel like breaking free. The song is about feeling like an alien, like you don’t belong, and maybe you’re not even from here. But instead of being afraid of that feeling, ‘Like A Tiger’ is about learning to love the strangeness. The universe is infinite and we are just specs of dust amongst the stars, but somehow, through it all, we are connected.”
