IFULKI find their groove on uplifting jazz-funk single ‘Moment’

London-based electronic-soul trio IFULKI embrace the power of seizing opportunities on their new single ‘Moment’, taken from their forthcoming debut EP Something Greater, arriving December 4 via Source / [PIAS]. Formed by Queen Kaltoum, Charlie Flynn and Ayman Sinada, the group draw upon their jazz roots and shared belief in music’s ability to bring people together. ‘Moment’ encourages listeners to recognise their worth, push through resistance and embrace the support of those around them.

Built around a deliciously funky bassline and wonderfully groovy live drums, ‘Moment’ is an uplifting fusion of jazz-funk, soul and subtle trip-hop influences. The rhythm section has an effortless chemistry, with jazzy percussion and warm keys creating an infectious, danceable foundation. Layered vocal harmonies add richness to the arrangement, while Queen Kaltoum’s commanding, deeply soulful delivery brings the song’s empowering message to life. There’s even a slightly cosmic quality to the atmosphere, giving its organic instrumentation an intriguing electronic edge.

With its memorable chorus and irresistible groove, ‘Moment’ celebrates confidence without losing sight of community and connection. It’s a vibrant, life-affirming offering that showcases IFULKI’s ability to balance musical sophistication with genuine warmth and accessibility.
