Singer-songwriter CLOVER is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of her anticipated debut EP Atlas, set for release on May 30. In anticipation of the EP, CLOVER is excited to share the lead single, ‘Used To It,’ along with its music video.
Atlas was recorded at Electric Lady Studios with chief engineer and producer John Rooney (past projects include Taylor Swift, Maggie Rogers, Clairo, Yebba, Norah Jones, Jon Batiste, Remi Wolf, and many others). Rooney decided to produce ‘Used to It’ (and forthcoming EP) after seeing CLOVER perform at a small venue in Brooklyn.
With sounds reminiscent of Dua Lipa and Fleetwood Mac, ‘Used to It’ takes us on a cross-country road trip with two star-crossed lovers, capturing the thrill and uncertainty of new love. The song reflects the extraordinary pandemic love story between CLOVER and her partner, which began with an impulsive trip to Mexico, only to be interrupted by the global health crisis. What followed was an exhilarating period of living together in a tent surrounded by artists in Upstate New York, and ultimately, a year-long cross-country busking adventure during which the couple brought music to the streets of 20 states.
CLOVER explains, “‘Used to It’ encapsulates that nomadic chapter — the magic, the spontaneity, and the bittersweet feeling that it all seemed too good to be true. It’s a celebration of radical freedom, love, and living on the road.”
