Electric Lemonade are a grungy fuzz rock power trio from Whitehorse, Yukon. Blending nostalgia with fresh, modern sounds, their live performances swell with raucous garage rock energy paired with killer vocals, huge guitars and syncopated grooves.
Sarah says of their new single, “’You’re Watching Me’ is a break-up song. It’s about being ready to move on, and about embracing who you are – even the messy bits and the mistakes you make along the way. It was inspired by some major changes that happened in my life. I realized I was in a pattern of allowing myself to be in situations where I couldn’t really thrive or be myself.
“We wrote this one in the studio when we were working on our upcoming EP. It started out with a version of the lyrics and some musical ideas we had floating around for a while. We came up with a rough version to play for our producer (Jordy Walker) and tweaked it a bunch, but really the bulk of the song was written over one jam session.”
