Elizabeth M. Drummond shares new single ‘Bullet’

Elizabeth M. Drummond shares her latest single ‘Bullet’. The track signals the imminent arrival of her forthcoming EP Congratulations, out November 18 via UK label Young Poet.

On the track, Drummond explains: “I wrote ‘Bullet’ at a time where I was really being forced to let go and face myself. My co-producer, James Seymour, suggested we record it live – just me and a guitar. I don’t think the song would be the same if we hadn’t done this.

“Since we were in the midst of a lockdown, the additional instrumentation was recorded by players at home. Zac Barter (double bass and strings), Joe Orton (pedal steel guitar) and Olaf Scott (piano) recorded their ideas in isolation and sent them to us. It all came together quite beautifully in the end.”

Drummond’s upcoming Congratulations EP is a collection of masterfully succinct songs, using intelligently crafted melodic twists and chord progressions to reflect and channel the pain and anger Drummond felt during a period of her life… albeit delivered, in part, in an approachable and tongue in cheek manner.
