Ella Eyre returns with the release of her brand new single ‘Head In The Ground’ featuring Tiggs Da Author, out now via Play It Again Sam. The single, which was written at a creative crossroads in her career, marks the beginning of a brand new era for Ella, who is releasing music as an independent artist for the very first time.
Receiving its first play on Clara Amfo’s Future Sounds show on Radio 1, ‘Head In The Ground’ sees Ella explore a new soulful sound in the new material, as she moves with humility and authenticity towards the music she was always meant to make. The single features the MOBO nominated singer, rapper and producer Tiggs Da Author.
Ella said, “’Head in the Ground’ is my first ever independent release and I am so excited to be putting this one out first. It’s an admission of my own complacency at a difficult time in my life and I wrote this song as a bit of a slap on the wrist to myself, because I know better than to run away from the things that scare me. Sometimes you have to make fun of a sticky situation to see the light and I had A LOT of fun making this record.”
