Frankie Flowers shares new single ‘let’s talk about last night’

Ontario-based alternative artist FRANKIE FLOWERS returns with her new single ‘let’s talk about last night,’ today. The gritty indie-sleaze revival track captures the kind of night that feels electric in the moment but lingers with regret the morning after.

Produced by sebraca, mixed by Calvin Hartwick and Emily Baxter, and mastered by Phil Demetro, the track channels the pulse of indie dance rock while maintaining Frankie’s emotionally raw songwriting style. Drawing inspiration from artists like Bloc Party and LCD Soundsystem, the song balances gritty guitar energy with a cool, reflective vocal delivery, like replaying a night in your head long after it’s over.

Lyrically, the song explores the moment after impulsive decisions, when desire, regret, and memory start to blur together. As Frankie explains: “It’s about having one of those nights you kind of regret the next day. Maybe you had a little liquid courage, said things you shouldn’t have, or made choices you normally wouldn’t. I write about desire a lot… but alas, what is life without desire?”

The song drifts through hazy snapshots of the night, chasing the moon down empty streets, impulsive confessions, and fleeting moments like seeing LCD Soundsystem outside Brooklyn Steel before everything begins to unravel.

At the center of the track is one line that captures the song’s blunt honesty: “Love’s just chemicals and dirty sheets.” For Frankie, the lyric represents the uncomfortable clarity that can follow a reckless night. “Sometimes the romantic story we tell ourselves about love doesn’t survive a closer look. That line is the reality.”

Despite the themes of regret and reflection, the song carries a magnetic energy meant to pull listeners in rather than weigh them down. “It’s about the aftermath of desire, when the moment passes and you’re left thinking about what it meant, and whether it was worth it.”
