Jo Davie drops new single/video ‘Cemetery’

Brisbane/Meanjin singer-songwriter Jo Davie (she/her) is set to captivate listeners with her evocative new track, ‘Cemetery’ produced by Sam Cromack (Ball Park Music). ‘Cemetery’ is the third single from Jo’s debut EP Nothing Comes Free, slated for release in early May.

The single itself highlights Jo’s ability to craft deeply immersive soundscapes while staying grounded in emotional truth. “The song explores how, we never know what other people are going through,” Jo Davie shared, “for me, it’s about reflecting, and processing old loss with a bit of perspective”.

Influenced by artists like Phoebe Bridgers and Adrianne Lenker, ‘Cemetery’ serves as a powerful follow-on single, offering a further glimpse into the themes permeating Jo’s forthcoming EP Nothing Comes Free.
