London based one to watch Lexie Carroll has shared her new single and video ‘violet’, and announces a new EP project is set for release this May.

Kickstarting the new year with strong momentum behind her, 18 year old Lexie Carroll has built an authentic Gen Z fan base thanks to her relatable lyrics and subject matter. Blending folk, indie and pop with a heartfelt and often poignant sentiment, on new track ‘violet’ she showcases a bigger and bolder sound with an upbeat message of encouragement dedicated to a close friend. Swelling guitars and drums balance the softness of Lexie’s lyricism, creating a motivational anthem that perfectly captures those feelings of teenage angst.

Speaking of the inspiration behind ‘violet’, Lexie explains: “I wrote ‘violet’ because my friend was going through a difficult time and it was hard to get through to them. so in the song i’m just saying “hold on, i know your brain’s saying it won’t get better, but it will”.
