After a standout year, with performances at Glastonbury on the BBC Introducing stage, doing a BBC Live Lounge Session and playing her first headline show; British Indian Independent rock artist Maya Lakhani is releasing her fresh, fierce alt-rock single, ‘Drive Into The Sunset’ today.

Written, recorded and produced by Maya in her bedroom, a skill Maya taught herself in lockdown 2020, the song is about finding freedom from others’ opinions and feeling like she’s found her happy ending in life, through love and making music. Maya performed this track live at her BBC Live Lounge session recently, creating a buzz and anticipation around it with listeners. Mixed by Chris Sheldon (Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro), it’s the first single from her upcoming 2025 debut EP.
