Following previous singles ‘Yes It’s Me, The Goldfish!’ and ‘The Catalyst’, Núria Graham has shared a third cut from her forthcoming album Cyclamen, which is set for release on January 20.

‘Fire Mountain Oh Sacred Ancient Fountain’ is a fable about a character in the record that invokes a mountain. “After two trips on the coast of Naples I was astonished by the beauty of Vesuvio and all its surroundings. You could feel an eerie energy on the ground and in the air” she comments. This place and the sensation of feeling so comfortably small next to a voluptuous force of nature is the spark for the whole story in the record.

Played on classical guitar and produced at home with vibrant chords and unconventional vocal harmonies and pizzicatos, the song slowly grows towards an understated crescendo, where the melodies represent the march of the orange river on its way to the sea.
