Austin, TX band proun, the project of songwriter and guitarist Jamie Weed, are excited to share another preview of their debut album, Maybe Luck, available everywhere June 26, 2026 via Good English Records. ‘Coloring Pages’ arrives, playing call and response with each instrument while the lyrics reconcile the past with the changing present. Embodying the nerves behind coming out and becoming who you are, riffs scratch the surface of this emotional well, bubbling over with catharsis.

“‘Coloring Pages’ is one of the most collaborative parts of the record,” Jamie explains. “This song stems from an instrumental demo Dante sent me which outlined what became the drum, bass, and guitar parts. The instrumental felt like a departure from many of our other songs, embracing a more direct interaction between guitar and bass with more angular drums. I used this original demo as a canvas to write about coming out as trans to my mom and the feelings from that day. Parts feel like word vomit surrounded by memories of being a young child free from a gendered existence.”
