After years of industry creative straightjackets, one of the UK’s most talented and distinctive voices returns. Ella Eyre announces her long-anticipated second studio album, everything, in time – set for release on November 21 via Play It Again Sam. She also shares new single ‘space’.
A decade after her Top 4 debut Feline and countless high-octane collaborations, Ella finally unveils a body of work that is as unfiltered, fearless, and fully-formed as she is. A self-curated collection of 15 songs, everything, in time sees the London-born powerhouse step into a sound that is rooted in rich soul, bold R&B, retro funk, and emotional truth.
After a vocal surgery during lockdown forced her to literally relearn how to speak, Eyre emerged with a clearer sense of self. She parted ways with her former label, took her masters, and started again. everything, in time is the result “There was a moment when I just said, ‘This doesn’t feel right – scrap it all,’” she recalls of an earlier iteration of the album.
