Hot on the heels of their recent double album release, international metal collective Chaos Rising is back with their twenty-fifth single and video. ‘I Could Be That Girl’ is an industrial metal track with an important message, inspired by recent attacks on women’s rights in certain countries. Performed by Chaos Rising founder Stéphanie Nolf (vocals, guitar, bass, music) and Nicole Trinchero (drums), several members of Chaos Rising came together to collaborate on the lyrics and video for this song.

Inching close to the one-year anniversary release of their debut album The Chronophagist, Montreal’s Fall of Stasis is sharing with fans a new music video for the record’s closing title track featuring guest vocals from Viky Boyer (Voice actor for The Monster Factory, Ariel). “This is the final song off the album and it tells the story of a deity who has the power to steal time from mortal beings. The song starts off with a slightly modified version of Wilted Forests’ intro, followed by a heavy riff and an epic, vocally-charged chorus. The last chorus is cut short by an eclectic and odd-timed trashy riff followed by a black metal section. The song ends with an epic riff and a fading soaring guitar solo.” adds the band.

Rockshots Records will be releasing the English version of France’s Manigance‘s latest album The Shadows Ball (Les Bal Des Ombres) on February 24. The original francophone version was released on March 18, 2022. The band presents their first English music video for the album’s title track. The band adds about the track: “In a baroque and burlesque atmosphere, I invite those who fight to stop fighting to get nothing, to come and build with me a better life and elsewhere, beyond life. A soul’s immortal,” says Carine Pinto. “A big riff with a simple structure to get to the essence of the singing melody. Carine’s vocals are particularly good with pop influences. A very nice solo from Lionel with twin guitars,” says François Merle.

Tokyo heavy-metal stalwarts LOVEBITES have returned from hiatus with a new member, a new single, a new music video and the announcement of their fourth studio album. Titled Judgement Day, the upcoming LP will be the first to feature the group’s new lineup, which includes bassist Fami, who was selected after an international audition process and is just 20 years old. Tribunal is here to keep you frozen on these winter days with their latest, doomed single ‘Without Answer.’ The single comes alongside a music video directed by Erik Gustafson and perfectly captures that gloomy, dark feeling that flows throughout the song. [via Metal Injection]

REXORIA release ‘Light up the Sky,’ a second track from their upcoming album Imperial Dawn, accompanied by a new music video. The band comments on the new single: “’Light Up the Sky’ is a power metal-song with a chorus that sticks in your head – after only the first listen. It’s mix with a great song melody, heavy and rough guitars, distinct drums and topped with a shimmer from the keyboards.” Imperial Dawn is due for release on February 3.
