Carley Varley returns with new pop rock sound on single ‘Better Without Me’

Carley Varley is back releasing music in a brand-new genre as she releases ‘Better Without Me’. Previously a Pop artist, Carley started writing music inspired by artists that she listened to in her teens such as Paramore, Linkin Park and Evanescence. Now an Alternative artist, Carley’s tracks are now heavy in both her writing and sound.

‘Better Without Me’ is a painfully emotional song about being used and left by someone you once cared for. The instrumentation really adds to the anger in this song, and you’ll find the melody is stuck in your head for days. Carley’s lyrics and sound are very nostalgic to the early 2000’s and her vocals are up there with absolute powerhouses such as Hayley Williams. Better Without Me is Alternative Rock as its finest, mixing edgier elements with belting guitar leads and stand out vocals.

“I wrote ‘Better Without Me’ after many seasonal friendships and relationships ended. I was hoping that writing would heal my hurting and it certainly did, especially when I finally found the sound I’d always dreamed of that reflected my lyrics.” Carley says.
