Munich’s rising indie outfit Daisy Dreams have officially signed with Berlin tastemaker label Duchess Box Records (home to celebrated acts like Gurr, Thala, Sofia Portanet) and have released their bold new single ‘Money’. Known for their heady blend of post−punk urgency, wave-pop textures and unshakable hooks, Daisy Dreams now enter a new chapter—one marked by a louder, sharper voice and an unmistakably international ambition.
‘Money’ is a no−holds−barred critique of capitalist culture, brimming with acerbic wit and icy detachment. Frontwoman and lyricist Verena Lederer delivers a sharp-tongued rejection of the constant pressure to sell, upgrade, and self-optimize: “DON’T PUT YOUR MONEY ON ME. You don’t need to invest in me—not your time, your money, your energy. I don’t think I’m a good investment, to be honest.”
Through hypnotic grooves, driving guitars and haunting synths and influences of Krautrock, ‘Money’ turns the modern hustle into a hall of mirrors—where lifestyle gurus, finance bros and dating app logic are all part of the same exhausting sales pitch. In Verena’s own words, “It’s a kick in the butt of capitalism.”
