Lizzie Esau rocks indie sleaze with magnetic new single ‘Day In The Life’

Hot off the back of her previous single ‘Bugs’, Lizzie Esau returns with her alluring new single ‘Day In the Life’.

She says of the track: “’Day in the Life’ is about living in a constant cycle – moving through the motions of the everyday, stuck in a 2D existence. It’s about feeling like there’s never enough time, and simply existing consumes everything. The weight of routine makes it hard to be a good sister, daughter, friend, partner, artist etc. Life feels overwhelming, reflected in the repeated question in the choruses, “Is that good enough?”, which captures the helplessness of being stretched too thin and the quiet, nagging fear that no matter how much you do, it will never be enough.

“The song is part observation, part resignation – an acknowledgment that this is simply how it is. There’s a relentless rhythm to survival, a force that pulls you in, making it almost impossible to step outside of it. It’s a universal experience, one that defines this generation and this moment in time.”
