Multi-platinum artist and singer-songwriter LP  (they/them) has today unveiled their brand new single ‘Shelly’ alongside announcing a major worldwide tour including UK dates at O2 Brixton Academy and Manchester Apollo.

Bringing their signature sounds and soaring vocals, the upbeat track is a welcome return for LP. Co-written by LP, Mike Del Rio and PJ Bianco and produced by Mike Del Rio and PJ Bianco the track is sonic sunshine, just in time for summer. The welcome return is joined by the tour announcement which celebrates 10 years of LP’s iconic album, Lost on You . On the headline shows, LP will be performing songs from their upcoming album plus a special set playing Lost on You in its entirety honoring the 10th Anniversary. The tour will see LP perform a plethora of dates across Europe and North America.

Of the track, LP explains: “The first single is a real life song about a real life friend named Shelly. It’s the first time I’ve done such an intimate portrait of a friend in a song. I was in the studio with my producer Mike Del Rio when I got a call from Shelly to catch up and it sparked a whole story. Life is beautiful.”
