Essex-based four piece She’s In Parties unleash their latest single ‘The Times’, a pensive indie rock tune detailing lead vocalist Katie’s social media focused frustrations that come with being a musician in the 21st century. This single acts as a third glance into their upcoming EP, Puppet Show, which is set for release on October 25 via Submarine Cat Records. The track also comes with a Polocho directed video sure to tug on your heartstrings.

“This song is about my internal battle with this new era of social media we live in,” Katie explains. “The lyrics “rewrite your mind” pretty much just mean that I need to rethink what I thought being a musician was like, and get with “the times”. If I don’t do it, somebody else will.

“One voice tells me they can “take it all away” if we don’t use social media to try and make it as a band. Another voice tells me to “rewrite” my mind, so maybe it’s not so bad to use this new tool of promotion.”
