Softee gets high with new single ‘Molly’

Softee (the stage name of actress and rising DIY pop creator Nina Grollman, she/they) is ready to get you high with her fittingly titled new track ‘Molly’. Her first release after signing with City Slang Records earlier this year, ‘Molly’ is an immediately captivating listen and is the first taste of her forthcoming record.

A sexy, swirling ode to a serotonin-pumping first date (inspired by a very real date she had with her now fiancée), ‘Molly’ is a playful yet powerful statement from an artist already breaking the indie pop mould.

“’Molly’ was inspired by one of the first dates I had with my fiancée,” Softee tells of the story behind the track. “We took molly and transformed the apartment I was staying in into a dance floor. We cleared the furniture, got speakers and a disco ball, and dressed to the nines. It was one of the best nights of my life and I had to write a song about it.”
