The New Tropics deliver raw emotion and indie rock grit with new single ‘Almost’

Rising indie rock outfit The New Tropics return with their emotionally-charged single ‘Almost,’ a track that captures the heartbreak of loving someone who can’t quite meet you halfway.

‘Almost’ blends thick guitar work, tight percussion, and a soaring vocal performance led by singer Cait Fisler to explore the tipping point in a one-sided relationship. With echoes of The Beths, Momma, and Ok Cowgirl, the band pulls from 90s and 2000s alt-rock nostalgia while carving out a distinct sound of their own.

From its subdued verses to its explosive bridge, ‘Almost’ showcases The New Tropics’ signature balance of catchy melodies and lyrical vulnerability. The track was recorded and mixed in Nashville and marks the band’s next step as they build momentum with a string of singles and high-energy live performances.
