Kate Clover announces new LP The Apocalypse Dream; shares new single/video ‘Damage Control’

Kate Clover, a rising star in the punk underground scene, is announcing her new record, The Apocalypse Dream, due out April 5.

In association with her LP announcement, Clover is also offering up the second single from her record, titled, ‘Damage Control’, produced by Jonah Falco (Fucked Up) as well as a music video for the track. Reflecting on the song’s lyrics, Clover described the song as being about, “self-destruction and walking the line between good and bad. Part of self-evolution is destruction; you need a starting point to rebuild. It’s human nature to seek Dionysus type pleasures and this song is embracing that from a different mood and point of view. It’s the heads pace of allowing yourself to not care, ultimately to feel freedom.”

The Apocalypse Dream is Clover’s sophomore record. Produced by Jonah Falco (Fucked Up, Chubby and the Gang, The Chisel) and mixed by Grammy award winning producer Carlos De La Garza (The Linda Lindas, Paramore). Sonically inspired by 70s punk, power pop and a bit of The Kinks. Lyrically inspired by Beat poet Charles Plymell. Reflecting on topics such as self-destruction, politics, love and the desire to find oneself in a world gone mad.
