Indie rock band Nico Vega releases ‘$5,’ the band’s first new music since 2018. Nico Vega: singer Aja Volkman, guitarist Rich Koehler, and drummer Dan Epand (who also produced the track) are happy to announce the return of original member Michael Peña back into the fold. Peña, whose mother the band is named after, was the original drummer, but left early in the band’s history due to the demands of a burgeoning acting career which would see him get roles in movies such as End Of Watch, Narcos: Mexico, Crash, and Ant-Man. Peña current plays bass with the band, his original instrument.

To mark the occasion of the new music, the band shares a music video for ‘$5,’ directed by drummer Epand.

“We’ve all somehow come back together by some cosmic force for the rebirth of Nico Vega. There is a chemistry inside the dynamic of the four of us that is deep and explosive and we couldn’t be more excited as we step into this new beginning,” the band say.
