Track of the Week: ‘Choreograph’ by Jessica Winter

Jessica Winter seems to view sound as a three-dimensional object. A noted producer – she’s worked with everyone from The Big Moon to Jazmin Bean, Sundara Karma to Phoebe Green – the south coast artist is able to amplify the talents of those around her. Yet she’s also able to pursue solitary individual ambitions.

Freshly signed to Lucky Number, her own songwriting presents an artist working in a distinctive lane, a kind of rebellious alt-pop that feels both classic and utterly new.

New single ‘Choreograph’ purposefully rips Jessica Winter away from the past, a resolute attempt to face the future. Daring and open-minded, ‘Choreograph’ was “born out of frustration, and from the desire to fully experience life and love in the present moment.”

The Portsmouth raised artist blends distinctive production with her incredible songwriting, resulting in something genuinely startling. To cap it all off, she takes the lead in the stylish, Hollywood-esque video, one that references the iconic 1952 film Singin’ In The Rain. [via Clash]
